It has <strong>formed more than 4,000 years ago<\/strong> during one of the last eruptions on the island. <strong>Today it is an extinct volcano<\/strong>, covered in green vegetation, with paths that make it easy to explore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inside the crater are the remains of an old farmhouse, where grapes were once cultivated and wine was made thanks to the aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a&nbsp;<strong>viewpoint<\/strong> called <strong>Mirador of Bandama<\/strong>, 569 metres above sea level, from which one can see the about 20 minutes from Las Palmas, following the GC-802 road.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>On foot<\/strong>: the path down into the crater is about 3 km long round
