Remember that we are much closer to the equator than Spain, so ALWAYS wear sunscreen.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2482\" data-end=\"2533\"><strong data-start=\"2486\" data-end=\"2531\">2\ufe0f\u20e3 Do not let pedestrians cross. \ud83d\udeb6\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2534\" data-end=\"2736\">We know that in Italy nobody stops where there are pedestrian crossings, usually it is the pedestrian who waits for someone to stop. But here it is different, they are used to being let through, so they often cross without much precaution. Watch out!<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2738\" data-end=\"2795\"><strong data-start=\"2742\" data-end=\"2793\">3\ufe0f\u20e3 Occupy the left lane in roundabouts.  \ud83d\ude98<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2796\" data-end=\"2952\">We do not doubt the sense it makes but the Spanish Highway Code is different! So be careful, because you might find cars that have to take the next exit from yours that are in the right-hand lane and therefore cut you off! And they are right!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2796\" data-end=\"2952\">And not only that... especially in the south, where there is a large amount of tourists, many people are used to it like we are and don't know it, so pay special attention in roundabouts, because everyone has their own way!<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2954\" data-end=\"3020\"><strong data-start=\"2958\" data-end=\"3018\">4\ufe0f\u20e3 Go to the beach and don't expect the wind! \ud83c\udf2c\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3021\" data-end=\"3238\">Gran Canaria, with the exception of the area between Arguineguin and Puerto de Mog\u00e1n, is famous for its wind, which in summer is a real lifesaver for enjoying days at the beach.
