FATAGA: A VILLAGE IN THE MOUNTAINS

Fataga is located in the south of Gran Canaria, in the middle of a valley full of palm trees. It is a small town with white houses, cobbled streets and a quiet atmosphere. If you want to see a more authentic side of the island, you are in the right place here.

The country is also known as ''the Valley of a Thousand Palms" and is located in an area surrounded by mountains and nature. Perfect for a walk, relaxing or going on an excursion.

• Camino de los Azulejos: a path leading to coloured rocks similar to those in the famous 'Fuente de los Azulejos'.
• : Mirador de la Degollada de las Yeguas: one of the most beautiful vantage points on the island, with views of canyons and desert landscapes.

• Bar La Cueva - ideal for a coffee or a quick snack during the visit.

Also try the Gofio escaldadoa hot cream of toasted cereal served with mojo sauce.

How to get there

By car: a 25 minutes from Maspalomas, following the GC-60 scenic route.
By bus: there are connections from Playa del Inglés, convenient for a day trip.
