WINDSURFING POZO IZQUIERDO: WIND, WAVES AND ADRENALINE
Pozo Izquierdo is located on the south-east coast of Gran Canaria. It is one of best places in the world for windsurfing, thanks to the strong wind that blows almost all year round. Professional athletes train here and one of the stages of the Windsurfing World Cup is held.

How to get there
By car: a 15 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes from Maspalomasthrough the GC-1 .
By bus: lines connecting Pozo Izquierdo to Vecindario and Las Palmas.
On foot or by bike: if you are in the neighbourhood, a walk along the coast is perfect to discover the wilder side of the island.

- The wind is strong almost all the time: If you want quieter conditions, go in the morning or in winter.
- Bring your camera: moving sails and waves create spectacular landscapes.
- It is not an equipped beach for sunbathing, but it is perfect if you like sport and the energy of the ocean.
